Who are you?

I’m a middle school language arts/reading teacher in Colorado. I have a great husband and boy-girl twins who just turned 21.

What does being a "Centrist" mean to you?

To me, being a Centrist means being a sensible and caring person. I believe that most Americans have these traits as well, but our political system isn’t listening to us. I want to see Congress doing its job again.

Why did you decide to get involved with The Centrist Project?

I read the Manifesto, and I think it is a great blueprint for uniting the country and fixing our politics. I’ve always been fairly informed and interested in politics, but confined my actions to the classroom. I keep my politics to myself at school, but I do a lot of work with students on getting them to evaluate evidence and information. I think the more people we have that can think critically, the stronger our democracy will be. The Centrist Project, however, has such great ideas it makes me want to get more involved. So, here I am.
