Centrist means governing in the middle, seeking to establish logical policies that reflect the majority, not the fringes that have co-opted an otherwise well-laid, thoughtful political system.
Business regulation. Specifically, striking a sensible balance between laissez-faire business regulation and the areas that are the most symbiotic with businesses: education, health care, and the environment.
Honestly, I'm not sure yet, but I immediately gravitated to the Centrist Manifesto's proposed centrist policies so it's a great starting point. I suspect that any movement towards developing a viable, sustainable third party will require significant financial support. To that end, developing the platform and identifying electable senatorial candidates that will attract a long-term funding commitment seems to be a necessary starting point.
