TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

Reside in Darien, CT. Married, father of three: 18 year old boy; 16 year old girl and boy twins. Serial entrepreneur, currently leading InsurTech company in the self-insured group health benefits sector with offices in CT and NYC. Raised out "west" in an energy family (oil business). Parents were raised in WY and NE and they instilled neoconservative values including small government, family unity, personal choice and respectful gun ownership.

WHAT DOES BEING A "CENTRIST" MEAN TO YOU, AND WHY DID YOU GET INVOLVED?

Centrist means governing in the middle, seeking to establish logical policies that reflect the majority, not the fringes that have co-opted an otherwise well-laid, thoughtful political system.

WHAT IS A POLICY ISSUE YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT AND WHY?

Business regulation. Specifically, striking a sensible balance between laissez-faire business regulation and the areas that are the most symbiotic with businesses: education, health care, and the environment.

HOW DO YOU THINK WE CAN UNITE OUR COUNTRY AND FIX POLITICS?

Honestly, I'm not sure yet, but I immediately gravitated to the Centrist Manifesto's proposed centrist policies so it's a great starting point. I suspect that any movement towards developing a viable, sustainable third party will require significant financial support. To that end, developing the platform and identifying electable senatorial candidates that will attract a long-term funding commitment seems to be a necessary starting point.
