I am a father, veteran, and government employee from Minnesota.
For me, being a "Centrist" is about focusing on realistic and mutually beneficial solutions to problems while acting as a bridge between two overly polarized political parties.
I chose to become involved because I feel the current two-party system no longer effectively represents the views of the majority of Americans who reside closer to the middle of the political spectrum.
Tax Reform - Creating a simplified and fair system of tax without the overly complex system of credit, exemptions, and loop-holes.
Veteran Care - Reforming the Department of Veteran Affairs to keep the promised made to our veterans who served and sacrificed.
Education Reform - Making education and the resources required to receive a quality secondary and post secondary education possible for everyone.
I wholly believe that a "Centrist" presence in state and federal government is the key to forcing the current Republican and Democrat establishment to start working together and make meaningful, reasonable, and sensible legislation a reality.
