Associate Roles

The Centrist Project is looking for talented, game-changing problem solvers from around the country to join our team in one of five available roles.

Our spring associate program will run from January through May. The program will be based in Denver, Colorado but can be organized remotely at your college or university. We are hiring both full-time and part-time applicants, and stipends may be available for qualified candidates who can work in our Denver office. Below are some of the day to day activities our current associates are performing.

Finance Associate

Managed by our National Finance Director, Andy Szekeres

  • Identifying potential donors who may be interested in investing in our growing movement
  • Researching existing and prospective donors, including their giving history, interests, and potential
  • Providing administrative and logistical support for fundraising events all across the country


Social Media Associate

Managed by our Director of Marketing and Membership, Tavis Malcolm

  • Drafting daily content for all social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
  • Engaging volunteer digital ambassadors to create amplify our message & those of our endorsed candidates
  • Designing digital content, including photos, videos, press releases and/or reports


Political Associate

Managed by our Deputy Director, Tyler Fisher

  • Identifying and evaluating potential independent candidates and target districts
  • Researching state or municipal policy issues; producing memos to staff members & interested parties
  • Contacting organization supporters & volunteers to mobilize support for independent candidates


Grassroots Associate

Managed by our Field and Digital Manager 

  • Coordinating our Centrist Leader program and empowering new volunteers to join our movement
  • Training volunteers to canvass and make phone calls to endorsed candidates
  • Encouraging movement supporters to engage as founding members and volunteers


Web Development Associate

Managed by our Director of Marketing and Membership, Tavis Malcolm

  • Managing our backend website infastructure
  • Adding, editing and analyzing performance of individual webpages
  • Streamlining backend processing of new supporters, volunteers, donors and candidates
