I'm an attorney in western New York, grew up in central New York, college in northern New York, and lived in New York City and Long Island for 12 years. I've been around. I'm also a devoted husband and father who is seeking a way out of the restrictive two-party system.
Being a Centrist means taking the best from both sides of the political spectrum and using facts to unite rather than divide. Centrism can do that bypassing the extremes of both parties in order to create a functioning and efficient government. I got involved in an effort to use my vote as a method of electing a candidate instead of preventing the election of a candidate.
Fiscal responsibility and social inclusiveness. For far too long, the voters of this nation have been told that those two goals are mutually exclusive, not to mention that identifying with those goals immediately results in being told you're either too left or two right. I want to show that those issues are not incompatible.
We can unite and fix our country by recognizing that the majority of voters want the same thing but are trapped in the either/or scenario that comes from being restricted to two parties. By showing that a third option is not just possible but viable will go a long way to healing this nation's discord.
